About Us

Hi, I started Engleberts while on chemotherapy for cancer. For me, it's been a very long road to recovery with moments of doubt but the Docs say I'm cancer free as of now as far as they can tell.

My promise to you is that we will dedicate a portion of all sales to to cancer patients, comfort, care and research.

In dealing with cancer I realized that my days of dreaming to make a difference were numbered. Fact is, all of our days are numbered, so the impetus is on us all to not get complacent and to chase our dreams. If I needed a shove and some motivation, I got that, if I needed a reminder to take action, I got that, living with cancer is an eye opener and anti-procrastinator tool for sure.

My dream was to not only to do good deeds with our sunglasses but to bring you sunglasses that you would be proud to wear and I would be proud to produce.

Giving Back - Service Before Self

One of the things that my family has held inherit is to serve our country, the good ol' U.S. of A. It is a beacon to the rest of the world and I really believe that.

I personally served in the U.S. Army as did my older and younger brothers. My father served, my grandfather served, all five of my uncles served, my cousin served, my nephew is currently serving as is my son who is currently serving as a pilot in the Air Force. Whew! God Bless the USA!

The picture at the top of this article is from  the Englebert Tire Company. They were a large manufacturer of tires in Belgium and Germany in the 1930s through the 50s. Their tires were the first to complete the 24 hours of Le Mans without a change. They also made the tires for the Ferrari racing team and eventually were bought out by the company that is now known as Uniroyal.

What does that have to do with Engleberts Sunglasses? Not a lot, but you can't argue the picture isn't cool.

Feel free to drop us a line anytime about anything, we also love to see pics of our customers with their Engleberts.
